So I just looked at the calendar and realized it’s already the middle of October….WHAT?! Literally, I can’t even handle how insane that is to me. Once I saw the date and realized how late in the month it was, it got me thinking. I know I’m not the only one having this thought during the semester. Here are five other thoughts college students have at this point in the semester!
Because truly, where is the time going?! My mom said life moves fast but I didn’t think she meant it RUNS AWAY FROM YOU after you start college. Please life, please slow down. I’m not ready for you to be over so please slow down.
I’m not going to lie, I’ve learned to be really good at flying by the seat of my pants this semester but that doesn’t mean I necessarily enjoy it. I find it’s really easy to just go, go, go, and hope for the best but really, I need to get my life together.
When I’m not freaking out about the date, I also feel like I’ve been here for forever. August is a long time ago when you are constantly running around like a chicken with your head cut off.
To this I say, “YOU CAN DO IT!!!” I mean it, you will survive and you will be so proud of all the hard work you put into your midterms. They can be overwhelming and seem never ending but you can do it girl. I believe in you!
“I just have to write this paper and study for this exam and meet my group for my Econ class and….” Yeah, I’ve been there. I’m with you. I count down the days to breaks because it means I don’t have to worry about anything and I can just sleep my life away. You never realize how exhausted you are until you go home, anyone else notice that?
I know there are more things college students think at this point in the semester. It’s a high-stress, crazy time of year. Don’t forget to enjoy it though! Like I said, time is flying by, try to not let it escape you entirely.
