Plants, plants, and more plants. Oh how I love them so SO much! My plant obsession started about two years ago and started with only six plants. Now, I am up to 14 and I have no plans on stopping.
If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I LOVE plants and I am always talking about them. My roommates would tell you that I have to many but honestly, I disagree. I love to take care of them, track their growth, and honestly they just bring me so much joy. If you are a plant lady like me, this post will make you so, so happy. Let me show you what I am working with 😉
This cute little baby I got from work! I actually have three of them and two of them look exactly the same. Honestly, I forgot about the third until right now because it hangs in a window and I only water it once a week!
This guy is my first ever “big” house plant and was actually a Christmas present from Lucas’s parents. I had asked for a Monstera plant, and they got confused and I ended up with this. I’m not complaining though, how beautiful is this guy?!
Oh me oh my how I love my Pothos plants ❤ These creepy crawlers were also plants I rescued from work and I have loved watching them grow and flourish in a new environment. They started out as regular plants and over the last year have EXPLODED to be the climbing monsters they are. I cannot wait to get into a space where I can successfully hang them from the ceiling!
The beautiful, beautiful monsters plant that I have wanted forever. This was the plant that I asked Lucas’s parents for that I ended up getting over a year later. These plants are very trendy nowadays but to me, I think they are just wonderful.
So the plant on the left is one of two that I own and honestly, I have no idea what it is called. If you know, please let me know. The very sad plant on the right is called a Florida Beauty and for some reason, I can’t seem to make it grow. This is the one plant in my whole family that I cannot seem to make pretty. I’ll keep it around until it’s really dead though, I still have hope!
A gift from my grandpa, I can’t wait for this spider plant to get huge and flower. It started off as a sprout from his plant that he gave to me, so I can’t wait for it to be a big one of my own.
Another plant that was given to me, my aloe vera plant! This plant, seriously, started off as one arm of a plant from a larger aloe plant of a friend of mine. Now, it desperately needs to be repotted and have more space to grow. I have lovingly called this my “aloephant” since planting it in this cute pot from Anthropologie and moving it into a bigger pot won’t be the same. It was a good joke while it lasted.
Don’t judge me, I can’t be a perfect plant lady and know all the names of my plants.
Again, I don’t know the specific names of these so they are just getting the general label of a cactus. Clearly two different types and clearly overgrown for their pots. Spring will call for new pots for everyone!
Can you tell I love my plants? Can you tell that I love them maybe a little too much? I am not joking when I say I admire my plants on a daily basis. They make me happy and honestly proud when I see that they have grown. I think having a plant (or like 16) is a great hobby for anyone! Are you a crazy plant lady too?
