Holiday Gift Guide: Your Roommate

The holiday season is right around the corner and you know what that means, it’s time to start planning what you’re going to be getting for the people in your life! Whether you celebrate a winter holiday or not, generally this time of year is the time of giving to those we appreciate. Sometimes though, finding the right thing can be really really tricky. I am going to try and make life a little easier for you and do an entire series of gift guides for the holiday season! So, first things first, here is a holiday gift guide for your roommate!

Paddywax Small Concrete Candle ($14)

I think these candles are so cute and chic! If you are allowed to have candles in your dorm room, they are a great gift for your roommate! Paddywax is a great candle company and they make soy candles which burn longer and are better for you than a regular wax candle!

Plum & Bow Elephant Tea Mug ($16)

HOW CUTE IS THIS?! This mug is made specifically for tea because the head acts as a tea bag holder once you are done with it. But, if your roomie is a coffee kind of lady (like me 😉) then this mug will work just as well! Even better, its only $16!

Rose Gold Initial Tote ($19)

Every girl loves a good tote and these ones are perfect for the winter season. Rose gold is totally in season right now and I’m obsessed with it too. I found these bags on Etsy and the creator has every letter you could need! There’s nothing like a personalized gift too.

Starbucks Gift Card (Any)

If you are friendly towards your roommate but maybe not the best of buddies, a gift card is a pretty safe bet for a gift. You could do Starbucks or really anywhere, everyone loves free cash!

Under $50

Triangle Earrings ($29.99)

How pretty are these earrings?! If your roommie is the kind of girl who enjoys a good piece of jewelry, these are a pretty good bet. They are so simple and so elegant that you could wear them for a fancy dinner or just during the school day!

Cat Bingo ($29.99)

Okay this one is just silly and cute and I had to share. Also from Modcloth, like the earrings, this cute little bingo game is perfect for any animal loving roommate. Good Saturday night plans? Playin’ this cat bingo and drinkin’ on the couch. What could be better?

Gold Glitter Lava Lamp ($30)

Again, another fun little present for the rommie! I wouldn’t say it’s the most conventional present, but who doesn’t like a lava lamp?! They are literally so mesmerizing and a nice way to add some sparkle in your life! (Because who doesn’t like a little sparkle?)

Marquee Light Box ($40)

Okay we are getting up there in the “splurge” kind of gifts. You could think of this as a present for your roommate and you! This marquee light box is a really fun way to express yourself. It comes with tons of individual letters so you can customize it however you want.

Under $100

“I did my best” Sweatshirt ($58)

How funny is this sweatshirt? Be honest, everyone has said this at some point in their college career. I would literally wear this sweatshirt every day if I owned it.I know it’s on the pricey side but I think its worth it for sure.

Fulifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera ($70)

I feel like every girl should have a Polaroid in their life. They make any party so much more fun and any hangout session way more memorable. I think out of all of the options in this roommate gift guide, this one is my favorite. I think if I got this as a gift from my roommate, I would be the happiest of humans.

I hope this roommate gift guide helped you think of an awesome gift for your roomie! Which gift is your favorite? Which one would you like to get from your rommie? I hope your holiday season is full of joy and love!

Shine on,
