Let’s go ahead and jump into today’s episode. Okay, so today’s episode is a storytime episode where I’m going to be sharing with you my goals for 2022. But before I start to share with you my goals for 2022, I wanted to share with you how I actually set my goals and why I’m sharing them with you guys today. Whenever it comes to setting goals, whether they’re short term goals or long term goals, I always start by auditing my past performance, I gave myself the entire month of December to audit my performance in 2020 wine. And if you’re not sure what the word audit means, that’s 100% Fine, because I didn’t know what it was either until someone used it in a sentence. But generally what it means is going through your past performance or growth or whatever it is that you’re looking at, and assessing how you did kind of like going back and going through your records to see like, if everything was legit or not kind of like being audited for your taxes, if that’s ever happened to you. It’s the same thing that I do. But for my performances in my businesses or areas that I’m setting new goals in. So before I went I set those goals. I went back I reflected and I took time to audit my performance last year. That way I knew where I was starting. I knew what I had already done, and I could sort of pinpoint areas of growth that needed to happen in the new year and set my goal aligned with those areas of growth that needs to happen. So for 2021, I went through and I audited everything that falls into my wheelhouse of work, the podcast, my Etsy shop, teachers pay teacher’s store, my coaching business, everything pretty much that I have that I consider work, I went through, and I kind of rated and assessed my performance and all of those things, then I use those numbers and data because when you run online businesses, you have data and numbers like that. And I set new goals for 2022. When I set my goals, you guys, I like to think really big, and then I break them down from there, which is what we talked about in last week’s episode, right? So there’s kind of my process, the same process that I gave to you guys in last week’s episode is the same exact process that I followed for myself, right, because I would never ever tell you to do something that I don’t do myself. And you guys, if you still haven’t set goals for 2022, it’s not too late for you to go back and do this same process, I gave myself a whole month. But you really only need to give yourself a couple of hours, right? I gave myself the month of December to really reflect on all of these things to get really well equipped and set up for 2022. But that doesn’t mean that you have to do that as well, you can very easily tell your husband or your roommate, your spouse, whoever, look, I need a couple of hours this weekend to just get focused on what I want and what I want my goals to be. And you can follow this same process that we talked about last week in this episode, and do it for yourself and still set those goals for the year. It’s not too late to set a goal for this year. Okay, so if you haven’t done this, I highly encourage you to do it. And take that time to reflect on past performance. That way you know where you’re starting, and where you can continue to grow as you set these goals. Okay, so here are some goals that I have for 2022. And these are real goals that I have written down in my online planner, where I have all of these things written and saved. And you guys, I’m sharing these goals with you not to brag or make myself look big and hokey, and all that kind of stuff. But to just show you where my mind is at and to share with you the types of goals that you can be setting as well. Whether you’re in the same kind of business or or, you know, growth mindset that I’m in or not right, you can set the same type of similar goals, whether you’re wanting to start a business, or grow a business, or lose weight, or start a family or go back to school or leave a relationship, whatever it might be, you can do the same exact thing. Okay, so here, my goal is for 2022 Starting off with a podcast, you guys, I want the podcast to get 10,000 downloads or get to 10,000 downloads by the end of 2022. And you guys, that’s about 834 downloads a month, or only 208 downloads a week, right? So it sounds really big. I want to get 10,000 downloads in 2022. Okay, that sounds huge, right? 10,000 downloads is a lot of downloads, instead of having it stay at that big goal of 10,000. I like to break my goals down, especially when they’re numericals, like this one, break it down by month, and then break it down by week. And the reason I like to do that is because it gives me a clearer vision. And it sort of gives me a smaller mile marker to get to each month in order to then get to that bigger goal by the end of the year. So that’s my one big goal for the podcast, get 10,000 downloads by the end of 2022. That’s only 200 downloads a week, which is totally possible and something that you can actually help me in doing so be sure to share the podcast helped me get to this goal. And that way at the end of 2022, we can celebrate 10,000 downloads of the living in sunshine podcast. Okay, so the next big goal of the year is for my Etsy shop. So if you don’t know I do have an online Etsy store that I’m currently working on growing and products and things that I sell in that space, all of 2021 I focused on making digital resources like digital planners, journals, and inserts because I love making them and they’re such a huge part of my life. But in 2022, I want to expand and grow in what I sell in my etsy store. If you don’t already know, the first physical product that we launched in the living in sunshine shot are actually stickers. And I love them so much. I love drawing them, I handwrite them myself, I put them out there, I package them, send them to you guys all on my own. And this is just the beginning of the things that I want to bring to my etsy store. So knowing that I want to grow in my Etsy shop and grow in the things that I sell, I’m setting a really big goal of making $3,000 a month by the end of the year. So again, end of the year, not like tomorrow, not by the end of January. That would be amazing. But I have to think long term right? So as I have that goal that $3,000 A month by the end of the year, I’m asking myself, What will I need to do month to month to be able to be consistent and consistently grow in my etsy store to hit that goal, right because that is the long term goal $3,000 a month from Etsy alone, and what can I do to get to that goal, so things that I can do is go through my data, which I’ve already done, and see what resources are performing the best. Once I have physical products, see which ones are selling the most, see which ones are bringing in the most people, this is going to be a goal that I have to track consistently, every single month to be able to grow appropriately to get to that goal. Okay. So again, I’m I’m telling you this, and I’m walking you through this to show you how you can set the same goals, and backtrack and reverse engineer how to actually make them happen. So for Etsy, alone, by the end of 2022, my big goal is to make $3,000 a month, by the end of the year. Okay, and then next goal that I want to share with you guys is in terms of my Teachers Pay teacher’s shop. So if you know if you follow me on Instagram, you guys know that I have a teachers pay teacher’s store, which I launched and opened back in June of last year. So it’s been open for like, what is that, like seven or eight months now. And we had a great year last year, I’m not gonna lie, I broke over $1,000 in sales within that first six to seven months, which is great for Teachers Pay Teachers. But my big goal for this year is to make $5,000 Total from Teachers Pay Teachers by the end of the year. And again, I tell you these things to paint the picture that these are things that I have not yet accomplished, okay, I’ve never made more than a couple $100 From my etsy store. And I’ve only made $1,000 in eight months on Teachers Pay Teachers, okay, so these numbers that I’m sharing with you guys are big, scary numbers that are going to require a lot of work, a lot of focus, a lot of tracking and a lot of dedication and hard work. And I set these types of goals for myself to stretch myself, and to see where I need to grow and to help myself do that growing that needs to happen to be able to get to those goals in terms of my businesses, overall, you guys, I want to have a six figure year across the board. So between all of my businesses because again, if you know me, and if you don’t, I’m going to tell you right now, I’m a big proponent and a big believer in having multiple streams of income. And I am having I’m going to have I’m putting it out into the universe right here in this podcast, that I’m going to have a six figure year even just saying I’m having a six figure year seems so far out of reach for me, because I’ve never done that before. And again in full transparency, because we’re friends here and I don’t mind that you guys notice. I’ve never made more than about 45,000 $50,000 in a whole year. And that was when I was working a full time retail management position in New Jersey. So the price of payment is a little bit higher, because the price of living was ridiculous. Working about 30 to 35 hours a week as an online ESL tutor, and working my health and wellness business full time across those three things. That’s when I was only making about $50,000 a year, right. So the fact that I am putting that goal out there to make six figures in a calendar year scares the absolute crap out of me like I want to crap my pants right now, it would just say not on the podcast, because it seems so far out of reach. But here’s the thing. It’s not because I believe in myself to put in the work to be consistent and to show up every single day to make that goal happen. And I trust and I believe and I know that with the hard work, consistency, focus and time, I can make that work, okay. And when I set that goal, I set it knowing that I have big things that I have planned to launch and drop in 2022 this year, you guys that are going to help me get there. Okay, so I didn’t just pull that number out of thin air, I didn’t pull that number out of my butt. I have reasoning behind it, I have logic behind it. And that’s going to be what helps me to get to that goal. So when you set your goals, I want you to make sure that you have the receipts to backup how you’re going to make those goals happen. It’s not enough to just set a goal willy nilly, it’s not enough to just say, I’m gonna make six figures in 2022 and not have a game plan behind it right. You can’t set a goal without first having that time to reflect gameplan and give yourself a pat and a direction to go to. And that’s where our process that we learned about in last week’s episode comes in to help you intentionally set those goals and intentionally set that vision for yourself that you want for this year. Now, it’s not enough for me to just share my business goals, right? Like those are all very business and honestly only business related goals. That’s not enough to only set business goals. You guys, it’s not enough to only set goals for your businesses or your job or any of that. I also set each year and actually each month both a personal goal so a goal with myself and a relationship goal and I wanted to share those with you too as well because I want you to know that you should also be setting these types of goals because we are not only our businesses, we are not only our work, we are whole human beings with relationships with people personal things that we want to get better about and setting goals in those spaces as well is really, really important. So my big relationship goal for 2022 is to spend more quality time with my husband, Lucas, aka the cute blonde boy over on Instagram, our friends and our family through traveling. So Lucas, and I have this really big goal and dream of owning an RV, and upgrading our car and doing all those types of things, to be able to freely travel whenever and wherever we want. We are both extremely blessed to have remote positions where we can work from almost anywhere. And the last two, three years, we really haven’t gotten a ton of time to spend with our friends and our family because we’ve been location bound. And now that we have the freedom of moving around and traveling, that’s a really big goal that I have for us this year, is to make the moves that we need to make, be smart in the changes that we’re going to have to make to be able to spend more time with our friends and family and the people that we love and more importantly each other. So that’s my big goal for us for it within my relationships is to spend more quality and intentional time with the people that I love. And this last goal, you guys is a highly personal goal of mine that I have for 2022. And honestly in full transparency, because you know, in this space, we keep it real, was a goal that I had for 2021 that I completely dropped the ball on. And I can see that I did not make any move on it because it’s still something on my list to do. And this is my personal goal, which has something to do with myself and something that I want to do for myself. And that’s to start therapy and to get my mental health under control to live a more peaceful life. If you have followed any of my stories, or any of my social media postings over on Instagram, you guys know that 2021 was the hardest year of my life, like hands down. Across my 27 years of being on this earth or 26 years of being on this earth, I turned 27 In April, I’m not 27 yet 2021 was the hardest year of my whole life between moving house issues, dog issues, relationship issues, just all of the things, it was just a really hard year and it took a major toll on my mental health. And my anxiety got really out of control in 2021. And going to therapy and starting that type of proactive mental health, you know, work is something that I wanted to do in 2021, that I just didn’t make a priority. And so I’m telling myself, and I’m putting myself out there on the podcast right here. And now again, to say that I am going to start therapy in 2022. And really start to learn and be proactive into how to better support myself and my mental health to live a more peaceful life. And I know that mental health and anxiety and stress all of those things is a highly personal thing. And I wanted to share this goal with you today, this one specifically more than any other one to tell you that if you need to do the same thing, I am right there with you standing right next to you. And I want you to know that it’s okay for you to ask for help. And for you to say I need extra support in this way in this area of my life. And if you need to set a similar personal goal, now’s the time, there is no better time than right now to make any sort of personal changes that you either know you need to make or are being told that you need to make in order to live a more peaceful and joyful life, right. That’s what we’re all about in this area. And that is a huge focus for myself in 2022. I don’t know what that’s going to look like. I don’t know how I’m going to make that happen. But I’m going to because I deserve that type of support, that type of growth and that type of goal for the new year. So my friends, those are all of my goals for 2022. And I hope that you can take these goals and find inspiration in them you guys. My point in telling you all of this is to show you that one, I’m shooting for some really big goals that again, make me want to wet my pants like actually grab myself because they’re so ridiculously huge. But I also tell you this to show you what is possible when you dream big and you really go for it. And so I want you to take that same energy borrow my energy and my belief and reverted back to you believe in yourself and your ability to make whatever dreams you have for yourself happen in 2022 Because you guys whatever you have on your goal list your to do list to achieve lists or whatever you can 100% Make that happen this year. So go out there set some really solid, intentional, amazing, huge goals for the new year. And let’s get after it. My friends. That is all I have for you today and I hope you loved today’s episode.
