And I am so excited to have you tuning in to our weekly podcast episodes, where we chat all the things from tips and tricks to funny stories from my life that have helped me to truly live in the sunshine. In this space, we are all about encouraging, inspiring and giving you the tough love that you need to hear sometimes to realize that you are totally made for more than what you currently have in life, and that you hold the power to make the changes that you need to level up and live your best self. So buckle up, grab some water and let’s get into it. Good morning, my dudes and welcome back to another episode of The Living in sunshine podcast. This marks our final episode for October which is so crazy cuckoo bananas to say 2022 is going by so fast. And I’m not gonna lie. I don’t know if we’re keeping up or not because Lucas and I are trying to move. If you miss that announcement, go follow me over on Instagram at living in sunshine. My husband and I are relocating Thank you, universe, from Texas to South Carolina. We are working really really hard to do a bunch of house projects and updates and stuff like that to list our home. In the next few weeks. Cross your fingers, please manifest send good vibes, good energy, good everything that we sell our house really really quickly because we are trying to relocate to a brand new state and move back to the eastern time zone. So again, we that we are already in our final episode of October, all month long in case you have missed the last episode of the month, we are talking about all things energy. And today I am going to hit you with a hive girl chat as to how and why you should protect your energy at all costs. And I really think that this episode is going to hit my joy seekers and my type two Enneagram and my people pleasers really, really close to the heart. So definitely hang in there. So true to form with hype girl chat, we are going to keep this short, sweet. And to the point. You can listen to this as you’re going poop, you can listen to this as you walk your dog, you can listen to this as you I don’t know do like a five minute ab workout or something that would actually be a really productive way of using this episode is to any hype girl chat episode that honestly is still like do like a five to eight minute ab workout or arm workout or whatever. Anyway, let’s go ahead and get into it. So as I mentioned, all month long, we have been talking about energy, how to boost our energy, how to have more energy, how the people in our lives really do designate how much energy energy we have it. And in today’s episode, I want to tell you and remind you how and why you should be protecting your energy. Okay, so let’s first recognize the fact that you become what you surround yourself with and what you can consume. And I kind of referenced both of these things in the first two episodes of the month. Because it’s so true. Who you surround yourself with, ie the people the things the media, the information that you surround yourself with, and the information and the media that you consume by reading. Or honestly like the food that you consume, you know physical or not the things that you surround yourself with and you consume on a daily basis will 100% designate the amount of energy that you have, whether it’d be good, or it’d be bad, okay. And if you want to have a life of joy, and intention and purpose, you don’t want to be surrounding yourself with people or things that don’t help you make that happen. A really great example of this would be, say you want to save, I don’t know, $10,000 or even less. $5,000 $5,000 is a lot of money. So you want to save $5,000. But all of your friends and your spouse, maybe your family member, whoever you live with, or interact with on a daily basis, are all about spending frivolously and who cares about savings? And why does an emergency fund matter? And why should I have a high yield savings account, like none of that stuff matters, life is short, let’s just spend all of our money, but you on an individual level, really honor and want to have a $5,000 emergency spending account, right? Like that is something that matters to you. But when you continue to surround yourself with these people who have those types of belief systems, it’s going to be much harder for you to make that desire happen. Because what happens is we become who we surround ourselves with, we start to infuse their belief systems with ours, we start to hear their words and hear their voices, you know, speaking negatively or positively depending on the kind of person it is talking about what it is that we’re working on, or we want to work on. And so the reason why you should be protecting your energy and how you can do this is because if you don’t, you are not going to most likely see the growth that you want to see in your own life. And I want to give you the permission slip that it’s okay to distance yourself from those people who are holding you back. And I say distance with a purpose because I never want to be the reason why you like cut someone out of your life. And that’s not something that I really encourage cutting people out of your life, obviously, when and where necessary. 10 out of 10 I’m on board. I’ve done that before I’m on board. But what I have found in my own life is that simply distancing myself from that person who is negatively sucking the energy out of me or negatively impacting my own energy. Just by creating that distance that is enough for me to feel and see and experience the growth that I want to see. And my people pleasers, my joy seekers, my tie to any anagrams, you are allowed to do this, please hear this permission slip, you are allowed to distance yourself and say no, and even leave a relationship if necessary, in order to better protect your energy because it’s your life. Okay. And sometimes I feel as if we forget that it’s our life because we have been born and raised and groomed and taught to believe that we are out here doing things for other people. And we sometimes forget what we need is to serve ourselves first. It’s your life, and you can 100% decide who you want and what you want to consume on a daily basis. And if you are constantly consuming negative beliefs, negative media harsh or harmful media, because you guys social media is an indirect way of doing this or even direct way of doing this as well of zapping your energy based off of what you read, who you look at what you view and all of those good things. It’s up to you to decide what you consume and who you consume. And this episode I hope serves as that permission slip for you to make the right choice for you to protect your own energy at all costs. So here’s where I’m going to leave you because again, short, sweet and to the point is what we want with these episodes. If you are in a space where you know you have people who are negatively impacting your, your energy, I need you to take stock of what you could do, and come up with a brainstorm mastermind list of what you could do to distance that person to set boundaries with that person to say no to that thing, or to mute or unfollow that human on social media. So that way, you can better protect your energy. Because again, our big big thing that we’re learning this month is that what and who you consume will determine who and what you become an All I want for you is to become the best version of yourself. And to do that, you need to surround yourself and consume your consume the best things for your life. And I hope that was something that you needed to hear today.
